Impromptu photoshoot in...Starbucks?

After a nice day of shooting cosplay at New York Comic Con Saturday night, I end up at Penn Station with an hour to kill. It was really humid inside the station and Starbucks had some nice AC going. Why not take advantage of the fact also that there were a surplus amount of vacant spots in the seating area since the Penn Station Starbucks was just renovated.

I order a drink, find a seat, and hang out reviewing the spoils of war of the cosplayer i photographed on my camera. I was also glancing up watching this little boy quietly eating his burger and fries (ooooo! outside food!) while his mom was enjoying her warm beverage.  The mother starts up a conversation about if I was at NYCC.  I explain to her that I was and after a brief pause she asks me how much for some headshots right here in the middle of Starbucks.  Laughing, I explain that I would just do it for free.

So here we are.  I am standing where people are waiting for beverages they ordered trying to get this little guy's attention.  I take a few snaps, which took no more then 5 minutes, and show some of the results to her. She loved them and we exchanged contact info.  Oh and she also tipped me a $20. Completely unnecessary, but it was a great end to a day of geeking out at NYCC!
